Add @granulated sugar{134%g} and @vanilla extract{1.5%tsp} (optional) and stir again. Finally, add @all-purpose flour{256%g} and stir just until the flour is absorbed — the dough will still be lumpy. Press dough into an ungreased or parchment-lined #20-23cm square baking pan{}. Bake until golden brown, ~{35%minutes} to ~{40%minutes} for a 23cm pan, or ~{45%minutes} to ~{50%minutes} for a 20cm pan. Transfer to a #wire rack{} to cool.
